Nicole Kidman has given birth to a baby girl and named her Sunday Rose - even though she was born on a Monday.
Sunday Rose is Kidman and her husband Keith Urban's first child together. She was born in Nashville, Tennessee.
A statement released on behalf of the couple read: "Nicole and Keith Urban are delighted to announce that Nicole Kidman gave birth to a baby girl on Monday morning July 7 2008 in the United States.
"Sunday Rose Kidman Urban weighed 6lb, 7.5oz.
"Husband Keith was by Nicole's side and mother and baby are very well."
Country star Urban recently dedicated a song to Kidman at one of his shows.
The singer joined his friend Kenny Chesney in concert in Nashville, and according to People.com, he told the crowd of nearly 50,000: "I'm going to dedicate a song to my very, very, very, very, very pregnant wife." He then performed the song Better Half.
Kidman, who was born in Hawaii but raised in Australia, has two adopted children from her marriage to actor Tom Cruise but Sunday Rose is her first biological child. The actress previously revealed how she lost a baby in the early years of her marriage to Cruise.
She and Cruise decided to adopt after the "traumatic" miscarriage.
Kidman, who won an Oscar for her role 2002 film The Hours, said she and Urban were "thrilled" when they found out she was expecting.
Writing on his website after the birth, Keith Urban told fans: "Earlier this morning, Nic gave birth to our beautiful baby girl,
Sunday Rose Kidman Urban.
"We want to thank everybody that has kept us in their thoughts and prayers."
